The story happened in the village of Vladimirovka of Amur region, not far from Blagoveshchensk. Andreev family lived in it for 13 years. Water began to fill the house at 4am. They gathered in a hurry, taken just what came to hand. Waiting the flood out they went to stay with relatives in their city apartment. But they couldn’t take their dog with them. So, they left their dog in the village, with their neighbors, whose house was not affected by the flood. Every day they visited their dog to feed him, but on the third day he disappeared. So, they took the boat and and sailed to their flooded house to search for the dog.
First, they heard barking. And then they met policemen – they complained that the dog did not let anyone to the house. Only with the help of the dog’s owners they were able to evacuate the guard to shore. After the incident the owners did not dare to leave him, and moved to their neighbors’ house themselves.
The family posted the photo report of flood and rescuing their dog on the social network. The dog immediately became a celebrity. Andreev family because of the flood had lost almost everything. Thanks to photographs of brave dog, the family began to receive offers of assistance from around the world. As a result, the dog helped not only his family, but the whole village.
In those days, Druzhok became for many a symbol of hope, courage, loyalty and reliability.
