They love dumplings in Yeisk so much that every year they hold a festival in their honor, arrange tastings and choose the best ones. With potatoes or herbs and onions, with cherries or strawberries, and maybe, traditionally, with cottage cheese. How to choose here?

But once the authorities decided that this was not enough. So on the local embankment, in a park overlooking the sea, a sculpture dedicated to homemade dumplings with sour cream and butter appeared.

The original monument to dumplings in Yeisk was chosen by tourists. They come here, however, not for long – the composition looks very appetizing, so in half a minute the guests of the resort are looking for nearby cafes or restaurants. Fortunately, there are many of them here.

Monument to dumplings in Yeisk. History

The monument to dumplings in Yeisk was erected in June 2012 in honor of one of the most favorite dishes of the Kuban Cossacks. Inna Sapozhnikova made a giant dumpling, though not from dough, but from concrete. It took two months.

The tablecloth is engraved with words wishing a hearty and tasty life to every inhabitant and traveler: “Let everyone live like a dumpling in oil.” In honor of the opening, festivities were held in the city. Of course, it was not without a tasting.

What is this for? First, like everything in resort towns, to delight guests. Secondly, to show the hospitality and sense of humor of local residents.
