Zodiac signs sculptural park in Moscow

Zodiac signs sculptural park
In Moscow, next to Sviblovo metro, there is an unusual square – “Signs of the Zodiac”. Here there are amusing figurines-symbols for each sign, work by Russian sculptor Andrey Aseryants. Figures turned out not just funny, but somewhere even slightly hooligan. The Sagittarius boy, for example, is aiming at the lantern in the middle of the day in front of everyone. Fish from large mugs drink beer. Instead of a banal goat (Capricorn) with a fish tail – a “cool” creature with horns, posing near its fancy motorcycle. Virgo is a funny schoolgirl in a shapeless sarafan and with a ball in the hand.
Meanwhile, this ball and some parts of other shapes carry a functional load. Inside the metal “lace”, woven from nuts and gears, placed street lights. Indeed, lighting in the park with a dark time of the day in the square is bizarre and fabulous.
According to the sculptor, he made all 12 figures of scrap metal – wheels, gears, bolts, and nuts. However, it is these little things that add charm and piquancy to the work. With the help of welding, various details turn into really cute characters, attracting lots of visitors.
